ibis Amsterdam Centre

Usual functional efficiency from an Ibis . My ‘Standard Double Room’ was very clean and showed no signs of wear . Good bed with reasonably firm mattress . 2 Buildings linked by a walkway , and the second building is situation over the tracks at Amsterdam Central; despite this the noise ( with window closed and air -con functioning ) was minimal .

The location for us was perfect. We had an early trip one morning and the local tour meet up point is in the station which is right next door so it was perfect. To be right next to the Eurostar at the start and finish of our trip made it very easy for us. You are greeted by many friendly staff members in the foyer who are always ready to help in any way which was lovely. The bar/breakfast area and foyer is modern with cosy comfortable seating and welcoming which I love in a hotel. The breakfast was great and we loved it one morning but we only had it one morning as it is quite expensive and there are many fun cafes close by either in the station or up in the streets of Amsterdam. We had a room with a view over the river at the back of the hotel which we loved. It was cosy, comfortable and clean.

Friendliness of staff, accessibility and the take away section which I never used but found it uselful. The bed was super comfortable and I am grateful they gave me a double instead of two single beds. The room was huge and the view was stunning. Had a lot of natural sunlight during the day that gave enough light to not need a light

The hotel is easy to find in a new city. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were able to get us an early check-in which was much appreciated. Our room was situated over the railway tracks which was quieter than expected but so unique. We booked a canal view, but getting the corner room on floor 8 we also go a view of the train station and across the city. Free baggage storage after checking out was another bonus for the hotel. If we visit Amsterdam again we will book again, thank you team Ibis Central

The hotel is just a stone's throw away from Amterdam Centraal Station, which makes it perfect for those intending to explore the city without complications on train schedules. Despite the fact that the hotel is located above the rails of the train station, the noise does not disturb the stay. A great point to consider is that there are vending machines operating 24/7 in the lobby, which becomes handy when the restaurants and convenience stores are closed.
